About

Hello.

Welcome to Park Life. We are an independent retail and gallery space based in San Francisco. Our goal is simple; to showcase art and design that we find relevant.

Started in 2006 by Jamie Alexander and Derek Song, Park Life is a labor of love for all things art related. Located in the Inner Richmond in a turn-of-the-century commercial space formerly housing the famous Busvan furniture store, Park Life store and gallery has over 1400 sq.ft. of floor space.

The retail space features art and design products culled together from all over the world. We feature hard to find, limited edition, and unique items that include; books, modern design objects, gifts, prints, paper goods, tee-shirts, home wares, jewelry, artist multiples and more.

In the Gallery our ambition is to show the most engaging contemporary art being created today. Park Life Gallery plans to hold 10 - 12 exhibits each year. Please contact the Gallery Director, Jamie Alexander, for more information.

We also publish books and catalogs under the imprint Paper Museum Press. Titles to date include monographs by artists Andrew Schoultz, Ian Johnson and Brendan Monroe. These titles are distributed by Gingko Press. Future titles include projects with Tiffany Bozic and Paul Wackers. For more information please visit the PMP site.

Jamie Alexander studied design and art history and has been a patron of Bay Area arts for over 15 years.

Derek Song is a history buff and is good at trivia. He also has an unhealthy loyalty to the Golden State Warriors.

Thank you for visiting our site. If you have any questions or suggestions please contact either of us directly at info@parklifestore.com.
